A team of fundraisers from bandage manufacturer Easigrip
Ltd took part in the Race for Life at Warwick Racecourse
and raised hundreds of pounds for Cancer Research UK.
Employees of the Warwick-based firm, which makes elasticated
tubular bandage, were encouraged to join in the event
by company founder and former Community Pharmacist Gill
Sweeney.
They all successfully completed the 5km route around Warwick
racecourse on June 7 and raised £700 for the charity.
Gill said: t was the first time most of us had ever
competed in the Race for Life so the staff were eager
to make the most of it. The evening was thoroughly enjoyable
and our thanks go out to businesses, families and friends
who kindly sponsored us.
The small family-run business last month announced it
would be supplying a new brand of conforming bandage.
Kontour is now available on the drug tariff along with
Easigrip -the alternative brand of elasticated tubular
bandage.
